Oscar the hound

I'm not smiling today. My cousin Zoe wasn't able to come visit after all. She had to take her dog Oscar to the vet yesterday, who told her that poor old Oscar had a cancerous tumour and may need to be put down. So, he is off to the vet's today to have an x-ray and possible exploratory operation. I really hope that he will be okay - that they find the problem and can get rid of it. I remember how devastated I was when our greyhound got poorly and Mum had to take her to the vet to be put down because she was in too much pain. Animals really do become a big part of the family when you have had them for any length of time, and it can be really hard when they finally move on to doggie heaven. Hopefully Oscar has a good few more years left in him. Be well little buddy!
